New Year Giving Update

Due to your generous support over the past year, we were about to provide 4,636 nutritious meals to children. One of these children is Flor in El Salvador. Her parents struggle to provide for their six children. Her father lost his crops of corn and beans twice due to drought. He dives for lobster and oysters to sell at the market. It's dangerous work and he is often unsuccessful. But he continues to work at providing for his family. And with our generosity we can make it a little easier by helping him to provide nutritious meals every day.

  

I thought you might like to see how your generosity has grown over the time that I have been using my books to support feeding hungry children....

Incredible!  Isn't it?  Maybe this year, with the launch of Cory and the Seventh Story and another book in the works due out in time for Christmas we can feed a village!

It was a hope filled holiday!

A new year has begun and we are already one month into it!  Wow!  Where does the time go? I hope your year is off to a great start!

As you may know I spent much of the holiday launching my new picture book Five Hungry Mice all around Western New York.  It was a huge success thanks to you all.  But more importantly, I wanted to share with you, that your your generosity in supporting the sale of my book had far greater impact. 

 

As you may know I donate 50% of all of the sales of my picture books to the organization Feed My Starving Children.  Well, this year we donated enough to feed two families for a whole year!  We were able to donate 22% more this year than last year, and we are on our way to feeding a village! 

 

Providing meals to these hungry children has to be one of the most powerful things we can do to help them on the road to a happy and productive life.  Sharing the blessings of your support of my art with these wonderful children is a privilege for me.   And I want to let you know that I follow through with your donation to them every year.  

So take a moment to smile, and realize that we have done something very good this past year.  And with your support we will both continue to do good in the year to come.

A Christmas FMSC Donation!

Well, as you probably remember, with the launch of The Swing I decided to donate 50% of the proceeds to Feed My Starving Children.  Feed My Starving Children is a Christian 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.  A single meal costs only 22 cents to produce, and 92% of total donations goes directly toward the food program.

I wanted to make the donation before Christmas and now that I have fulfilled all my book orders I was able to make the donation yesterday.  Thanks to all of you and your support we were able to raise $507.60 to donate to FMSC!!!  That means we gave 2,076 meals to starving children around the world!  Thank you for your support of The Swing and FMSC!  If you are interested in getting involved with FMSC you can find our more at their website:  http://www.fmsc.org
